HISTORY.
Fabian was born as the third child and second son of Daisy and Matthias Prewett and had a perfectly content childhood. He grew up in a peaceful time in a peaceful neighborhood in a pleasant household and spent most of his days playing outside and exploring with the other children from the area. However, there was one particular boy, a bully, actually, in his neighborhood he wasn't very fond of when he was growing up. Fabian enjoyed going on adventures and trying out new things; sitting still in one place for too long bored him, and when forced to do so, such as his lessons, he often just sat there day-dreaming, and everything his mother said often went right over his head, much to her chagrin.
He turned eleven, and he received his Hogwarts letter, to no one's surprise, but very much to his excitement. He was ecstatic to follow his siblings to Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor as they were before him. Pleasant and amiable, Fabian got along well enough with his housemates and classmates, but didn't grow particularly close to any of them. During his second year, Fabian decided that it just wouldn't do to go through his entire Hogwarts career simply known as "the littlest Prewett." He somehow got the idea that sliding down all the moving staircases in Hogwarts would do in settling his reputation as something other than Gideon and Molly's younger brother and had managed to get halfway down a single set before falling off and ending up in the hospital wing with a rather nasty bump on his head. He woke up a day later, rather cross that he hadn't been able to accomplish what he had set out to do, but he was now known as "the loony kid who tried to slide down the banisters" and that was good enough.
Fabian never really excelled in his studies, either; he found he was good in the practicals, especially Transfiguration, though he was good at Defense Against the Dark Arts as well. It was surprisingly easy, all he had to do was just wave his wand, while he hated the fact that he had to read and pay attention and put in effort in classes such as History of Magic. So he didn't do any of those things, and his marks suffered as such. Though he did get strangely extraordinary marks in the classes that he did have an interest in, namely Care of Magical Creatures. He explained his marks by simply saying "I like animals, that's all."
After leaving school, Fabian had no desire to become another one of those boring kids who went straight into some boring job where he would have to go through the same routine day by day. So, in hopes of making some exciting discovery or coming into contact with some rare creature, Fabian explored the woods of Europe, growing a beard and living as Bear Grylls. After a few months, Fabian came back home, shaved his beard, and got a job with the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, as a field researcher. It was really the ideal occupation for him - there was the constant excitement and adventure of traveling to different parts of the world and he's able to work with dragons, which is pretty much the coolest thing in the world. It was during his first year on the job that he was contacted by Dumbledore about the Order of the Phoenix. Yes, he strongly believed in blood equality and very much agreed that the Ministry wasn't doing enough to bring a stop to Voldemort, but it was also being a part of a secret society that largely appealed to Fabian. Gideon wasn't too pleased with him joining, but Fabian insisted that he was a big boy now, who could make his own decisions.
PERSONALITY.
Very impulsive, Fabian lives for the moment and tends to be reckless and jumps into things without thinking about the consequences. It's not that he ignores them, he just won't have realized that his actions have such results. For example, if he spontaneously decides that wrestling a hippogryff would be a good idea, and if it was pointed out to him that he would likely die, he'll pause for a moment as he thinks about it, then smile and say "Yeah, but it'd be brilliant way to go." and would go look for a loose one unless quite literally, physically, held back. Yet, Fabian is a surprisingly calm person, he doesn't really get worked up about things, but rather thinks they're "really good ideas." Fabian is completely and absolutely fearless - it may be the root of many of his weaknesses: mainly the belief he holds that he really is invincible, but it is his driving force in life. He can, and most likely will go through absolutely anything without any concerns.
He's very patient and can handle a surprising amount of flak before getting annoyed or upset. When he loses his temper, it's a frightening sight to see; he's a bit like Molly that way, though you're much more likely to see Molly that way than Fabian. He's actually only gotten that upset twice in his life: once, when he was younger and caught a frog by the canal and an older boy took it away and kill it, and again sometime his fifth year. There had been a particularly annoying girl a year below him who wouldn't leave him alone, no matter how much he had tried to hint at it. Well, his patience had to wear out sometime.
APPEARANCE.
Fabian has a perpetual look of excitement, which is only played up by his naturally wide blue eyes and a smattering of freckles across is nose that rounds out the endearing, childish quality about him. Unlike the tall, sturdy Gideon and small, plump Molly, Fabian is pleasantly in the middle; slightly above average with a lanky frame. He has a rather laid back walk with his shoulders slightly hunched and hands in his pocket. All in all, he gives off a very approachable vibe, heightened by the easy-going smile he usually wears. Though, despite how relaxed he may appear, Fabian is unfortunately clumsy and has a tendency to trip over his feet every so often and flail his arms about in a way that makes others think he's completely and utterly mad.
Never one to bother with fancy clothing, he usually wears trousers and a rumpled shirt and if the weather calls for it, a sweater Molly's knit him rather than robes. It seems rather pointless to get dressed up for something when he could do it just as well in something comfortable and wouldn't feel guilty getting dirty.
